The view through Johari’s window: Reasoning and bias in medicine – Dr Rebecca Stewart

Practicing medicine is so much more than just putting a constellation of symptoms and signs together to make a diagnosis.   How do we know when we’re missing something?   How do we know what we don’t know?

Have we spent as much time exploring alternative diagnoses as confirming the most likely one?

This workshop will challenge participants to unpack their clinical reasoning and biases using fun and interactive activities.    At the end of the workshop, the aim is that you have recognised one clinical biases, diagnostic or therapeutic approach that you hadn’t considered before, and in doing this, enhance your patient care.
