The Art of Medicine – Mr Ron McBurnie

The workshop focuses on developing ways of recording daily processes and activities we enact and may want to communicate to people visually. It relates to gathering and remembering information and devising simple visual (drawing) methods of recording this process in visual form. The aim is to devise our own methods of recording, expressing and communicating ideas visually.

The workshop is divided into the following parts:

1 A short introduction to the project and to the memory theatre.

2 Observing, gathering and remembering information during the walk.

3. Simple drawing ideas and techniques which can be used to record the elements of the walk.

4. The process of mapping the remembered objects and events from the journey.

5. Discussing the completed drawings

Key learning point:   The workshop focuses on developing ways of recording daily processes and activities we enact and may want to communicate to people visually (through basic drawing processes.)
