What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Magnetic Island is a short (about 25 minutes) ferry ride away from Townsville.  For information regarding ferry services, including the barge service, click here. Magnetic Island Ferries (the barge) is providing complementary travel for Registrants. A discounted family pass is available using the code FDACOM19. Five people can travel in the same car for the cost of the car’s travel.

A range of accommodation options is available, within walking distance of the venue.  Bus and Taxi services are also available, or you could hire a Magnetic Island moke!  To view and book accommodation options,  visit Best of Magnetic.

What is included in my ticket?

  • All conference sessions including workshops.
  • Included meals – Morning tea and Lunch Saturday and post-conference drinks.

What’s the refund policy?

Refunds will be available up to 10 days before the event date. Refunds after this date will incur a 15% administration fee.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have access to your registration details. 

Can I update my registration information?

You should be able to update your detail through Eventbrite, if not, please contact us directly. 

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Due to insurance requirements, your registration fee and/or ticket is not transferrable. 

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?

The registration name must match that of the attendee.

Will this event be formally registered for Continuing Professional Development requirements?

Participants can self-register with their respective organisations for professional development points.   Evidence of attendance can be provided on request.
